What is check?
Goal:
Learn that check means the king is under attack.
What to do:
Move the white rook from a3 to e3 to give check to the black king.
Move:
a3 → e3
Tip:
A rook attacks in a straight line. From e3 it attacks the king on e8.
Only this move will complete the lesson.
Explanation:
The rook moves to e3. Because the black king is on e8 on the same file, the rook gives check.
